will be followed.
Free Persons Joining:
Free Persons having applied to join, if considered suitable, will be given a probationary Membership period
of up to 4 weeks, during which time familiarisation with Jotunheim, its Members and ambience can be
sampled, and We can get to know You.
During this time You will be expected to read Book 9 Marauders of Gor and also subject
Yourself to a questioning on both this book and Gor in general. We take Our Gor seriously.
Frees joining Who are new to Gor may not own slaves for the first 3 months of Their Membership (too many wouldbe
Masters/Mistresses already abound on online Gor. We endeavour to prevent such happening here).
The exception to this rule being those Frees Who enter bringing a slave with Them already in Their collar.
Frees joining Who are familiar with Gor and Who arrive without a slave, may take ownership of a slave after a
period of one month (4 weeks).
Slaves collared to Jotunheim will remain in a Jotunheim collar for a period of at least one month (4 weeks) before
being eligible for a 'Claim' Collar or sale. Bondmaids will not be sold to Any Free not of Jotunheim. Slave training is the responsibility and preserve of Mahnepe the High Jarl's Companion. Slaves new to Jotunheim Landfall will be restricted from sexual use for the first 14 days, whilst initial acclimatisation and training proceeds. During this period of acclimatisation and training... the collar will read {Jotunheim}-t, and the slave will be under the jurisdiction of the Slave Overseer.
Freepersons will act honorably, which includes:

All should Speak and act honestly when
talking with each Other - Free Person's and/or slaves. Lies and dualling are considered
abhorrent by the High Jarl and will be dealt with swiftly and ruthlessly.

It will also be considered a matter of honour
that Freepersons will respect the authority of other Freepersons,
provided that limitations and privileges according to status and
owning rights are taken into account...i.e.: No Freeperson may allow
behavior of their slaves contrary to the guidelines set forth. If
they do then Any Council Member has the right to have
words with the Freeperson in question.
** The Free Women of Torvalsland are accorded great respect in the books - so
it will be here.
Free Women will not be threatened with collars unjustly or made to live in fear in
their own Home. In the same respect, Free Women will be expected to
be Free Women, worthy of the respect accorded by Their birth and circumstance.
** These are the words of the High Jarl and none may gainsay them.
Disputes among Freepersons will be handled
privately when possible. When such is not possible, the matter will
be presented before the High Jarl and/or the War Council to settle. The
Decision of the High Jarl and/or the War Council will be final.
Try to keep R/T out of Jotunheim...R/T problems
belong in R/T, not here.
NOTE: Any Resident/Member, Free or slave, who issues real time threats in Jotunheim Landfall,
or on any message boards, will be banned from Jotunheim and Chateau Whisper. There will
be no Appeals against such a ban.
English is the Language used in Jotunheim. Online gorisms such as
Vanashe, Jashi, trik, nidan etc. Will not be used. There are no larls as
pets. Free Women do not fly Tarns alone, or sail Serpent Ships.
The testing of drink and food does NOT take place, nor does the 'sweetening'
of drinking vessels.
Respecting the property of other Freepersons,
(i.e.: Do not private message Another's slave without permission).
A Freeperson shall not physically punish a
collared slave without first speaking to the slave's Owner or to the
High Jarl or Council of Jotunheim.
A Freeperson shall not force Themselves sexually on a 'restricted'
slave. Whilst slaves in Torvaldsland were, in the main, not personally
owned; some were. Honour the Owner of a slave by not abusing His/Her property.
Because most slaves in Torvaldsland were not personally owned, it is expected that
Masters will keep any 'chains' down to two or three girls. This is to enable Us to keep with the realism
of the books.
Deal with slaves fairly as much as is
practical. Remember the interaction between the bondmaids of Torvalsland
and their Masters was specific to Torvaldsland and much behaviour, whilst not tolerated
in other areas of Gor was accepted and prevalent in Torvaldsland. Read the book for
clarification and enlightenment.
Dualling Any Jotunheim Landfall member, be it slave or Free, found
to be dualling on Gor, will be executed at the Landfall as a spy. This means that
if a Free, He/She will suffer Impalement. If a slave he/she will suffer beheading.

Nametags All Frees and slaves of Jotunheim are expected to keep name tags and titles, to the minimum number of words. History or Family details are not necessary and they inevitably take up lines of screed, for the most part meaningless to Any other than themselves. No slave tags are allowed on the tags of Frees. The Jarl expects All
to conform to this practice of simplicity and commonsense. Keep it simple!
AV Images - Frees and slaves All Av's should be of a Gorean style as far as is possible. Slaves have little choice and by and large the images used online are acceptable. Note: splayed open images are frowned upon - this is not a porn site, and any slave using such an images may be censored by the High Jarl. Sexiness and beauty needs not such images to tempt and delight *S*. On being collared to Jotunheim slaves will be given an av by the Overseer of bondmaids. Subsequent avs may be created or obtained by the bondmaids themselves, subject to them being acceptable under these guidelines. Although paintings and illustrations may be used as a basis for the av, anime type images and distortions should be avoided. Other image styles to avoid are comic book, horror magazine and the like. Understand that the word of High Jarl UTAR is Law
and that the War Council has rights and privileges above the Members as
the Members do above the non-members.

Structure of Jotunheim Councils

The War Council rules Jotunheim. The War Council will be made up of the
of the following:
- The High Jarl UTAR,
- Jarl (Captain - Jotunheim Second Ashore) ________ ,
- Jarl (Captain - Jotunheim Second At Sea) ________.

There will be an Advisory Council made up of
Free Men and Free Women of the Jotunheim to be called into meetings when
requested by the War Council.

The suggestions of the Advisory Council will need approval
by the War Council, before being acted upon. The War Council will always listen to the views and advice of
Advisory Council but will retain ultimate veto power over Advisory Council actions.
The High Jarl has ultimate veto of Any and All decisions.

Changes to these guidelines:
The Council may from time to time make changes or
inclusions to these rules as is deemed appropriate.
These changes, as with any Council actions, are
subject to absolute veto by The High Jarl of Jotunheim.
