Visit in Peace and be Welcome

We welcome visitors and any who wish to expand their knowledge of GOR and learn more about us. All we ask is that you follow our rules to ensure your that your visit is a pleasant and amiable one. Please remember that this is GOR... and it is not always a friendly place to be... it is harsh and sometimes unfair. Remember also that most importantly, if you respect us and our Gorean Home you will rarely have anything to worry about. All rules of our Home WILL be followed. If you do not know them, please be sure to learn them.

Visitors

  1. We ask that you please take a name.  It is not required but a definite politeness and courtesy... Are you rude or courteous?   When entering someone's r/t home, a name would be required, one would not sit in the shadows and watch, we only ask the same respect in Jotunheim.

  2. Visitors may retain their weapons. They will, however, only be admitted "in PEACE". (note: entering Jotunheim is considered acceptance of this rule. )

  3. Once welcomed You may either participate in activities or quietly observe. If You intend observing only, then place "~O~" behind Your name. This identifies You as an observer. You may ask questions, but may NOT participate in the activities of Jotunheim. You can be served food and/or beverage only by a slave. If You wish to participate, leave the "~O~" off **. This allows You to interact. But be warned, You WILL held accountable for Your actions and words With or Without the ~o~

**Any slave entering without the ~o~ will be collared in a Jotunheim collar or chained in preparation for collaring.

  4. No disruption will be tolerated by observers. The ~o~ is NOT a license for derogatory comments, or snide remarks.

  5. If You require food or drink, SPEAK UP! A/all could be busy participating in other things. This is GOR. Free do not whine, complain, or otherwise act in a manner to bring dishonour to Themselves. As a guest you are entitled to food, drink and conversation only. No 'sexual' contact with the slaves is permitted.

  6. ALL Visting Free Women entering Jotunheim:
**Free Women belonging to a Home in the regions where veils are not required (ie: Torvaldsland, The Barrens, The Wagons, The Alars, etc) need not don them, but those from the Cities and areas where veils are worn will be expected to honour the customs of Their Home region.

  7. Free Women Warriors are not recognized in Jotunheim. Any Free Women who proclaim themselves Warriors will not be recognised as such in Our Home of Jotunheim and may be asked to leave.  They will be required to be veiled unless they meet the requirements above to not wear them. The avi's of FW should not show arms such as spears, swords, axes. You will be requested to change Your avi if such is depicted. Avi's should also be in the traditions of Gorean FW, if You are not aware of the standards required ... Ask.

  8. If you are Free and seek membership, let your desire be known to a member of Council. Be Our guest for a week (5 days or more), making your visits worthwhile in length of time and interaction with Members. Try to meet the rest of Council, let Honour guide your actions and words and fill out this form .

  9. If you are slave and seek a collar, let your desire be known to a member of Council and fill out this form note: all slaves are collared to Jotunheim, not to individual Frees, a slave may be bought by a Free (when trained), by arrangement with the Jarl. .
